Removals to Italy
Removals to Italy? Moving to Italy? Relocating to Italy? Removals from Italy?
As a nation, Italy has probably one of the richest histories, the impression of the Romans and other civilizations still remain today. Rome especially is covered with relicts from the Roman Empire in the middle ages, such as the Colosseum (pictured right).
Italy is also often regarded as one of the most picturesque and beautiful countries in Europe and the world. The breathtaking northern mountains are in stark contrast to the flat, wine grove covered land in central and more southern Italy.
It is no wonder that thousands of UK residents choose to move to this unique country in southern Europe every year.

Italian Geography & Climate
The main Italian Peninsula extends into the Mediterranean with Italy's other two major islands sicily and sardinia forming the distinctive kicking boot shape.
Italy and its islands are also littered with several active and dormant volcanoes, with large rivers spiting valleys. These geographical features form the backbone of the Italian Peninsula, which runs the length of the country before meeting the Alps.
The italian climate is extremely diverse with huge differences between the continental northern areas, when compared to the Mediterranean southern regions. The high altitude mountain ranges and rivers are often covered in snow in the winter months, whereas the most southern areas do not drop below 15°C. During the winter it can be -2°C and snowing in Milan, while it is +18°C in Palermo.
This contrast in climate and geography makes Italy an interesting and constantly changing place to move to and live in.
Italian Culture
Many elements of Italian culture are relatively modern. This has resulted in much of the music, art and religion that is popular in Italy having a short and rather brief history. Although the historic civilization of the Romans originated from Italy there is relatively little influence from that time in modern Italian culture. However the Romans did leave behind a developed infrastructure of roads, buildings and water systems which are often still in use today.
Italy has been the birth place of many influential people from throughout history, including Galileo and Leonardo da Vinci; the painter of the "Mona Lisa".
Folk and classical are still the music preference of most Italians, having given birth to the opera the instruments commonly used in those pieces such as the violin and piano have become fundamental is good Italian music.
Finally, Italians have maintained a love for sports for many centuries and anyone who follows football, cycling and/or auto sports should definitely consider a removal to this country as the locals are fanatic about those three main sports in particular, however, many others are played.
