Not far from Windsor Castle, thanks in part to the famous academy the town has excellent transport links, by train you can be in London’s West End in 42 minutes and Heathrow Airport in under half an hour.

Home to the famous Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst sits in a fantastic part of Berkshire with good transport links, miles of pristine countryside and easy access to the bright lights of London. The area has a fascinating history from early Anglo-Saxon settlers and farmers to Henry VIII’s playground and eventually the education of princes from across the world Including our own William and Harry. A number of notable minds have passed through the town and academy including Winston Churchill, Ian Fleming and James Blunt.
Sandhurst is packed with clubs, societies, venues and eateries to keep you busy all year round. There’s a brass band, historical society, cricket, football and rugby clubs, plus a running club that hold regular events. If you like the great outdoors, Sandhurst Memorial Park is a great space with tennis and basketball courts, football and cricket pitches, a play area with a sandpit and a skatepark. There is also a country park, plus events at the military academy open to the public like the World Tug of War Championships.
Close to the M3 and just an hour and 15 minutes from central London, the town is close to Royal Windsor and surrounded by countryside. There are very good transport links, the bright lights of London’s West End are 42 minutes by train and Heathrow Airport is less than 30 minutes by car.
