The beautiful city of Exeter is located 36 miles from Plymouth and 65 miles from Bristol, and was the most south-westerly Roman fortified settlement in Britain. The city was established on the eastern bank of the River Exe, and was first occupied in 250BC in the Hellenistic period. According to an article produced by Devon Live, Exeter has been identified as one of the top ten location for the most profitable businesses to be based, and that roads are over 50% safer than the rest of the country. Over the late 19th century, Exeter became an affluent centre for the trade of wool, and it’s a city rich in history and opportunity.
