One of the UK’s most scenic counties, Dorset has so much to offer both inland and along its historic coastline. The Jurassic Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage site, ideal for artists, photographers and nature lovers to explore. Sandy beaches, hidden coves and smugglers tales all add to the romance of the county.
Some consider Dorset to enjoy a slightly slower pace of life (it’s true there are no motorways in Dorset) but there is still much to discover, beautiful, unspoilt villages, rustic country pubs, incredible scenery, artisan food producers, local crafts and vibrant cities are all part of the make up that attract so many people.

An area of world-renowned scientific interest and incredible natural beauty, Dorset really is a little bit special. The beautiful coastline attracts thousands of visitors, there are the tourists but also fantastic birdlife and sea life. Whether you enjoy birding, fossil hunting or just want to get out and enjoy the great outdoors there are miles and miles of coast to explore.
You’ll also find rich history (no, not just the sharp-toothed scaly variety). Smugglers tales and legends run through the county which also produced some of Britain’s most feared pirates. Artists have also been inspired by Dorset, Enid Blyton created the Famous Five here, basing their adventures on the beaches and woodland found in the county.
While your Dorset removals don’t have to break the bank there are plenty of eye-watering prices with Sandbanks being one of the most expensive property hotspots in the world, and even beach huts in the area can set you back a pretty penny with some of the traditional wooden huts exchanging hands for six figure sums.
