The City is home to St Mary’s Stadium, home to Southampton FC (or the Saints if you are a regular) where there is always a hub of activity throughout the season. The stadium hosts 19 Premier League games throughout the season and with more than 32,000 fans cheering on Saints you can be sure of a great atmosphere – no matter what the end result is.
If you are into your shopping then West Quay is the place to go especially if you are a fan of retailers such as John Lewis, Cath Kidston, Superdry, Apple, or other high-end brands. If you fancy yourself king or queen of the flat-pack, Southampton is also home to popular home retailer IKEA which backs on to the shopping centre.

By car, the M27 and M3 all lead to Southampton, and navigating around the city is simple. Access to most major sites of interest is available by walking from the city centre. There are many places to park for long durations of time.
By train, you can get to and from London, Gatwick Airport, Cardiff, Manchester and Brighton all from Southampton. The train services run frequently.
By bus, there are regular services that run to Southampton from nearby towns and cities, and you can get bus service from the train station to the city centre.
By air, you can fly to Southampton airport, which is just a few miles away from the city. From there, you can fly to multiple holiday destinations, and fly in from a range of UK cities.
