Transport – Just west of Dorchester, Poundbury sits on the junction of the A35 to Honiton (1 hour) and the A37 to Yeovil (33 minutes). Dorchester train station offers direct routes to London waterloo with a journey time of 2 hours and 46 minutes. The closest international airport is 1 hour and 6 minutes away in Bournemouth.

With Dorchester on the doorstep, you’ll find gyms, theatres, a cinema and all the high street names for shopaholics. If you’re a foodie you won’t have to travel far, Poundbury has some excellent places to eat and hosts an annual food festival. There are also other local events and gigs throughout the year.
A satellite village on the edge of Dorchester, the main train station is in Dorchester itself with routes to Bournemouth, Bath, Southampton and London. From Poundbury the A37 stretches to Honiton, Devon, and the A37 heads north to Yeovil. The closest airport can be found at Bournemouth.
