It’s one of the most sought-after places to live in the UK and house prices reflect this. It forms part of the Parish of Sunninghill and Ascot, surrounded by beautiful countryside and excellent transport links, the town has great amenities and a good selection of independent shops, pubs and cafes.
The town is split in two halves, Old Amersham packed with coaching inns, ornate buildings, pubs and cafes, and Amersham on the Hill which grew in the early 20th century.
Leisure

There are two gyms, a tennis club, bowling, a small theatre in Sunninghill (linked to no lesser figure than Ivor Novello!) and in the summer months the racecourse holds a drive-in cinema as well as outdoor concerts.
