Armishaws is a family owned removals business and and has been running since 1973. Our highly experienced team has expertise in all aspects of removals within the UK. We hold Europe’s highest removal’s standards and work within stringent health and safety procedures. We also try to minimise the environmental impact of our operation, as detailed in our environmental policy.
Whether your move is just down the road or the other end of the country, our experienced team is here to make your move as stress free as possible. We provide a complete door-to-door service from as little as a few boxes to a full house move. Our services are flexible meaning that you get a service that is completely tailored to you, your move and your family.
Whatever it is that you want to move, our ‘been-there-done-that’ experience means you can trust us to handle it with ease. All collectibles, antiques and paintings are securely stored and protected in heavy duty transit cases – even for short moves. Crockery and porcelain / china is wrapped item by item in acid-free tissue paper for maximum protection and cleanliness.
Your removal will be carried out by our full time, fully trained and experienced staff using top quality materials and vehicles. In our view, security is essential – that’s why all of our staff are uniformed and carry photographic ID at all times.
Packing Services
We can provide a packing service which can include everything or just your breakable items.
Our specially trained staff will wrap your most fragile belongings with care and skill and pack them into recyclable cartons.
Each vehicle is fully equipped with purpose made protective covers for dining tables, soft furnishings and white goods. Ample supplies of heavy duty bed and mattress protector bags/transit wraps are also carried.

We provide storage solutions for all of your requirements. Whether you require long term or short term storage, our secure container storage system will ensure the safety and care of all your possessions.
Packing Services
We can provide a comprehensive packing service. This can be from your sofa, wardrobe, etc. to just your fragile and breakable items. Our specially trained staff will wrap your most fragile belongings with maximum care into our recyclable cartons. Each vehicle is fully equipped with purpose made protective covers for all your household and furniture requirements.
Packing Boxes

We hold the BS EN 12522:1998 certificate which is related to the domestic removals of personal possessions. From first point of contact to the removal and aftercare, we make sure that we operate in line with the conditions of the standard. It specifies the service that is to be provided to the customer and the means by which this is to be done; the resources and the methods to be used.
