How much can a single container hold?
The internal volume of a single container is 245 cubic feet. As a rough guide each container can hold;
- 4 double beds
- 8 fridge freezers
- 10 armchairs
- 15 chests of drawers
- 1,328 books *
- 3,000 bottles of wine! *
* Please note, while our containers can hold the items indicated, weight restrictions may limit large amounts of heavier items such as books or liquid traveling in a single container (however we’re not advocating you drink large quantities of ‘surplus’ wine to lighten the load!).

Where is each container sealed?
Each container is sealed at your property in your presence at which point you’ll be given a full invoice (paper). A further digital confirmation will be emailed later.
How many containers can a single lorry carry?
A single 17 tonnes lorry can carry 6 storage containers, a 7 ½ tonnes lorry can carry 3 storage containers.
Can you pack for me?
Yes, our trained crews can completely pack and seal your container/s for you. Take your container/s to storage and return them when required. Your delivery crew can then unpack your item and place items into your room as required (extra fees may apply).
Where can you deliver to?
We provide worldwide removals services. Most relocations and container deliveries are UK based and we can deliver to anyone across the UK as well as regular services to Europe. Contact our friendly team about your requirements and will be happy to help.

What
Armishaws’ secure depots provide extra space as and when you need it. Machinery, archives, supplies, excess/old stock, our crews can collect and even pack items for you, place them in containerised storage which is then brought to one of our purpose-built depots. Containers are sealed in your presence and you’ll receive a complete itemised in inventory of every being held in store.
Archiving – If you’re required to hold on to files, records, photos, CDs, and items that need to be disposed of securely, we also provide shredding services. So you can hold items in archive with a set date for destruction. We operate to the BS EN 15713:2009 secure destruction of confidential material code of practice. Materials are shredded to strips of 6cm x 0.5cm, and inline with our eco pledge, waste materials are reused rather than merely being sent to landfill.
Where
We’ll come to you. Tell us the date, we’ll collect and transport your items to one of our secure depots in Wiltshire, Surrey or Somerset (closest to your location). Items can then be returned to you. Using our teams to collect and return your items minimises disruption for you.
