The city is renowned for its engineering, from the many works of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, to the building of Concord (both of which have dedicated museums). The gateway to the South West, the port has influenced the shape of Britain in many ways from its darker part in the slave trade to its creative hub and quirky nature that lives through its comedy.

Transport

The M32, M4 and M5 all run close to the city. Direct trains run to London, Southampton, Bath and Cardiff. Bristol International Airport is the South West’s biggest air terminal.
