Give yourself plenty of time.

Ask about insurance.

You’ll want to ensure that all of your property is properly insured on the day of the move. There is nothing wrong with shopping around for a good deal, so be sure to speak to a number of companies before settling on one. This will help you to get a firm understanding of exactly what services are on offer and what is a reasonable price to expect to pay.

Be prepared to negotiate.

If you like the sound of a few companies, then feel free to ask for a deal. Some firms aren’t flexible on pricing but others may be. Either way, it’s not usually worth going to the cheapest provider. Instead, you need to consider the quality of service you will actually receive, including the fleet of vehicles they offer.
